happy (belated) birthday to my boy!

thanks blogger for being down and erasing my lovely post about my special boy's birthday...now i have to post a belated birthday post. not as special.
well anyhow, my favorite boy in the world is now the big 2-1 :) so i decided i would post 21 things/reasons why i love this boy!

3. i love his laugh
4. he lets me decorate however i want
5. i love how much he loves our record player
6. i think its adorable how he says dutchess is our child

12. he has a weird control freak thing about the radio volume-its hilarious
13. he loves to give me little surprise gifts

16. he almost nevers lets a song play to the end
17. he hates ranch dressing, and i love it
18. he is extremely ticklish
19. he loves disney just as much as i do
20. he always supports my artwork
21. he has a big, sweet heart

remember your first love

david and i are participating in an interactive art exhibit tomorrow!! i'm so excited :) we will be working with a police sketch artist and describing each other! its called "Remember Your First Love" at the Scottsdale Art Museum.

i can't wait to get our own copies of the art. david is nervous that he won't be able to describe me well enough and it will look completely wrong, haha! he is so cute. i will definitely share how they turn out! if you live in the arizona area you should join the fun too! the art exhibit will be traveling around the country after all the prints are created. click here to go to the museum site for more information.

easter recap

this easter was bittersweet...actually all holidays now are bittersweet without my parents being here. it just doesn't feel like a true holiday without them. but other than missing them so much, we had a good time. the boys went crazy finding easter eggs and i managed to make a green bean casserole that tasted just like my mom's :)

my rainbow cupcakes were a hit with the boys (of course)!!

overall, i loved spending time with my siblings and nephews and i am very grateful to have them in my life.

what amazing time...

i just got back from my amazing/awesome/spectalur trip from new york!! i went to celebrate my very best friend's 21st birthday :) it was a complete surprise for her and it was the best ever! we went to the city, went shopping, and got the best cupcakes ever!!

crumbs...an amazing, delicious cupcake. i wish i got all of them...just look at those delicious things.

did i mention we met kathy griffin??!! she is hilarious and i love her red hair :)

february is my favorite

i love the month of february! reds, pinks, and purples fill all the stores, everyone is focused on loving one another, and of course the sweetheart candy! i love those candy hearts-delicious!! this year for valentines day, david and i are keeping it simple and making dinner at home and just spending the evening with each other. i can't wait. i'm also going to try out a new cake recipe-i'll let you know how it turns out.

my new camera is AMAZING!! i love it so much! i took almost 200 photos at my nephew's birthday party last night! lovelovelove.

i am so impressed with the auto modes. they take excellent photos without myself having to do any adjustments. this is going to save so much time on photoshop! i highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking to upgrade.
i also ordered an adorable bag on amazon to keep my new toy save and sound...

please note that this bag is very gender neutral. david made it clear that he did not want me to get a super cute (girlie) camera bag since he is convinced that i won't want to carry it all the time, meaning he has to then. i don't think this will happen (maybe...). nonetheless, this bag is super cute. i can't wait to get it!

Ugly Sweaters=Festive Christmas Party

That's right, I am going to an ugly sweater party!! It is going to be AWESOME! I can hardly wait :) I promise to take multiple pictures!
