ohio in photos

my parents just moved to Ohio and this was me and david's first time visiting there. we had a blast, to say the least!! already planning the next visit :) i wish the week lasted longer.

we took a trip to old man's cave...this place was gorgeous and i still can't believe that in the 1800's someone lived in these beautiful caves.

david and i rode on the super zip line at hocking hills and it was so much fun!! the line went through tall trees and over a river-we loved it!

the rock and roll hall of fame was amazing and david was in heaven! he loved seeing all the guitars and memorabilia of his favorite musicians.

it was such a good trip and i loved spending time with my parents. i miss them lots and lots. i can't wait to go back!

happy (belated) birthday to my boy!

thanks blogger for being down and erasing my lovely post about my special boy's birthday...now i have to post a belated birthday post. not as special.
well anyhow, my favorite boy in the world is now the big 2-1 :) so i decided i would post 21 things/reasons why i love this boy!

6. i think its adorable how he says dutchess is our child

12. he has a weird control freak thing about the radio volume-its hilarious
13. he loves to give me little surprise gifts
14. he knows exactly how to calm me down
15. he loves anything and everything spicy
16. he almost nevers lets a song play to the end
17. he hates ranch dressing, and i love it
18. he is extremely ticklish
19. he loves disney just as much as i do
20. he always supports my artwork
21. he has a big, sweet heart

remember your first love

david and i are participating in an interactive art exhibit tomorrow!! i'm so excited :) we will be working with a police sketch artist and describing each other! its called "Remember Your First Love" at the Scottsdale Art Museum.

i can't wait to get our own copies of the art. david is nervous that he won't be able to describe me well enough and it will look completely wrong, haha! he is so cute. i will definitely share how they turn out! if you live in the arizona area you should join the fun too! the art exhibit will be traveling around the country after all the prints are created. click here to go to the museum site for more information.

our new love child.

david and i finally got our new "love child"- the oh so pretty record player. i am officially in love and don't know why we didn't get one sooner. i love that we share the same passion for music and vintage. i have definitely found my other half in life. now we are in search of vinyls since we have a total of 4 right now :) anyone know any good places that sell vinyls, local (gilbert, az) or online?? xoxo

what an amazing trip (image heavy post)

disneyland was the best!! the lines were short, the weather was beautiful, and i got to know my future family more! it was lovely and i'm sad it is over. but i did take a bunch of photos to remember the best times of the trip...so here goes my first photodump on maybe someday :)

DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!

david and i are the huge fans of disneyland and act like the biggest little kids you will ever see. we were so pumped when his parents invited us to go to disneyland with the family as our christmas gift! (can you say best gift ever for us?!)

we already have the plan to wake up at the crack of dawn so we can get there early enough to have a part day at the park, followed by 2 more days there! yes, that's right, 3 magical days at disneyland. i'm super excited!

i'm bringing my fancy pants camera so i will of course share lots and lots of photos :)

my new camera is AMAZING!! i love it so much! i took almost 200 photos at my nephew's birthday party last night! lovelovelove.

i am so impressed with the auto modes. they take excellent photos without myself having to do any adjustments. this is going to save so much time on photoshop! i highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking to upgrade.
i also ordered an adorable bag on amazon to keep my new toy save and sound...

please note that this bag is very gender neutral. david made it clear that he did not want me to get a super cute (girlie) camera bag since he is convinced that i won't want to carry it all the time, meaning he has to then. i don't think this will happen (maybe...). nonetheless, this bag is super cute. i can't wait to get it!

Secrets

When it comes to Christmas gifts, I am terrible at keeping secrets. I can't wait to share and see their reactions, which usually results in giving the gift early or telling too much, ha. I just can't help it! I absolutely love giving gifts, especially when its handmade.

For example, I made David a simple tie blanket with Green Bay Packers fleece fabric (his favorite football team) just last night and I already gave it to him!! Granted he already knew I was making it for him...plus it turned out so good that I wanted to use it before Christmas Day! I know, I'm terrible.

I feel like a little kid again...

David and I decided to build a fort in our living room last night. It was grand and made us feel like little kids again. We loved it. I feel so lucky to have someone in my life to build forts with :) I hope the child inside us never grows up.
